Cookie Policy
Effective date: June 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Employee Retirement Litigation Group uses cookies and similar technologies on https://example.com (the “Site”). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels/tags, web beacons, and local storage. These help the Site function, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising.
Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work (security, load balancing, basic navigation, form submission). These cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Analytics/performance — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it (for example, Google Analytics). They tell us which pages and tools are used and how campaigns perform.
- Advertising/targeting — used by us and partners (for example, Google Ads and the Meta pixel) to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads on other sites. Depending on configuration, related data sharing may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law (see Privacy Policy).
- Functional — remember choices you make (such as form progress) to improve your experience.
Managing cookies
- Cookie banner / preference center: use the on-site banner or “Cookie Settings” link to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality.
- Opt-out tools: you can opt out of certain advertising cookies via industry tools (e.g., the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages) and your Google/Meta ad settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): where required, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of the “sale”/“sharing” of personal information.
Do Not Track
There is no industry-standard response to browser “Do Not Track” signals; we describe our practices in this Policy and the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update this Policy; we will post the updated version with a new effective date.
