Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Employee Retirement Litigation Group (“ERLG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the website at https://example.com and related pages and tools (the “Site”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about visitors (“you”). By using the Site or submitting information through it, you agree to this Policy.
About this Site. This Site is attorney advertising for Employee Retirement Litigation Group. See our How This Site Works disclosure.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you complete a case-review form, intake funnel, calculator lead form, or otherwise contact us, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, employer or retirement-plan name, plan type, approximate account or loss figures, your description of your situation, and any other details you choose to share. Some of this is sensitive financial information.
Information from interactive tools. Our calculators and self-assessment tools process the figures and answers you enter to generate illustrative estimates. Unless you submit a lead form, those entries are generally used only to produce your on-screen result.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, links clicked, approximate location (from IP), and dates/times of access. We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to do this (see our Cookie Policy).
Information from third parties. We may receive information from advertising and analytics partners, and from co-counsel or law firms we work with, to operate and measure the Site.
2. How we use information
- respond to your inquiry and evaluate a potential claim;
- contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry (see Communications Consent);
- operate, secure, personalize, and improve the Site and our tools;
- measure and optimize our marketing and advertising;
- comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use; and
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
3. How we share information
With co-counsel. If you submit a request, we may share the information you provide with co-counsel or referral counsel who may assist in evaluating or handling your matter, subject to applicable professional-responsibility rules.
With service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services for us — hosting, CRM, analytics, call/text handling, marketing, and security — under contracts limiting their use of the information.
With advertising and analytics partners. We may share online identifiers and activity with partners such as Google and Meta to measure and deliver advertising. Depending on configuration, some of this activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law (see Section 6).
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your sensitive personal information for money.
4. Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising, including tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta pixel. These help us understand Site usage and measure campaigns. You can control cookies through your browser and through the choices described in our Cookie Policy. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) where required.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here — including responding to your inquiry, meeting legal and recordkeeping obligations, and resolving disputes — after which we delete or de-identify it.
6. Your privacy rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; access a copy; correct inaccuracies; delete personal information; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and limit the use of sensitive personal information — and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, email intake@erlg.law or call (800) 555-0144. We will verify your request as required. You may use an authorized agent.
Categories of sensitive personal information we may collect include financial account information and the contents of communications you send us; we use it only to provide the requested services and as otherwise permitted.
Other U.S. states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising or certain processing. To exercise them, contact us as above.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies separately.
10. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry-standard response; we describe our practices here and honor legally required opt-out signals as noted above.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice.
